Phase three of the works at BAT consisted of the auditorium, development studio, pallet store and 18/27 reception.
The auditorium has approximately 300 seats. This is served by an air handling unit located on the roof with a system of ductwork to provide conditioned air to maintain 22°C within the space. The air enters the room via floor diffusers located under the seats with additional air being supplied by two low velocity supply units. Acoustic treatment has been provided to achieve 25 nr.
The development studio is served by an air handling unit on the roof with a dedicated humidifier. This maintains room conditions of 22°C +/- 1°C and 60% RH+/- 5%.
The pallet store is served by four LPHW down flow heaters. These are controlled by local thermostats to maintain 19°C within the room. Building 18/27 reception is served by three cassettes and three wall mounted air conditioning units. These are all fed by one condenser via a refrigerant distribution box. Local control is provided to achieve 22°C.
