The National Library of the UK is one of the largest in the world with over 150 million research items and includes 14 million books dating back as far as 2000 BC.

With energy efficiency at the forefront of strategy, Working Environments were selected to undertake the design and project delivery of two 900kW water-cooled chillers integrated into the building’s existing chilled water and heat rejection circuits, while maintaining a fully operational building of significant size and a range of specific cooling demand.

This challenging project additionally involved; exchanging 3 primary chilled water pumps, 3 new plate heat exchangers and associated building management system integration.
